EVERY MAT.
Stop buying one size at a time. One kit of tungsten in a spread of sizes, so you can step up until the bait punches through instead of sitting on top of it.

Why tungsten
This is the edge.
Those numbers are not a spec sheet. Here is what they change the moment you tie one on.
Denser than lead
Same ounce, less slug. The tighter profile falls faster, holds bottom in current, and gives the fish less to look at.
Feel every tick
Hard metal transmits. Gravel, shell, wood, that first mushy bite. You read the bottom instead of guessing at it.
Punches through cover
Compact mass drives through matted hyacinth and thick grass on the first pitch, so your bait gets to the strike zone while the fish is still looking up.
Lead alternative
Fish tungsten instead of lead. Where a fishery restricts lead tackle, check its current rules before you rig up.
A third less bulk.
Drag the slider. Same weight, smaller profile — so it slips through cover instead of hanging in it.
Why it matters: Punches mats cleaner and gives you a sharper read on the bottom.
you actually fish.

Is this actually tungsten?
Yes. Every weight is a 97% tungsten alloy, wearing our EdgeGuard No-Chip finish, with the size laser-engraved right on the weight. No painted-over lead, no chipped corners after a week of rock, and no squinting at an unmarked slug to figure out what you just tied on.
How is tungsten different from lead?
Density. Lead runs 11.34 g/cm³; our 97% tungsten alloy runs about 18.0 g/cm³ — roughly 1.6 times denser. Same weight, about 37% less volume. That tighter profile slides through grass and brush instead of hanging in it, and the harder metal telegraphs what the bottom is made of straight up the line.
Which weight should I run?
Match the weight to the cover and to the fall you want, not to a chart. Lighter sizes give a slower, more natural drop for open water and finesse work — drop shot, Neko, shaky head. Heavier sizes punch matted grass, drive through thick cover on the first pitch, and keep you in contact in wind or current. Carry a spread and step up only until the bait gets where it needs to be.
